What are the main causes of Boiler Problems?

If your boiler isn't functioning or heating your home properly, there could be an underlying issue that should be addressed immediately. Moore Heating will run a 21-point boiler inspection to make sure that the problem is detected and remedied. Our knowledge of plumbing problems can help resolve many boiler-related issues.

FOR A BOILER THAT RUNS ON NATURAL GAS WE...

Inspect gas lines to make sure that there are no leaks or holes that can affect your boiler system.
Inspect and clean burners, thermal couples, igniters and sensors.
Test the control system, high temperature limits, and inspect the heat exchanger.

FOR A BOILER THAT RUNS ON OIL WE...

Inspect the oil burner for a dirty nozzle, burnt electrodes, and dirty fuel filters.
Run a combustion efficiency test and smoke test, in order to determine how much soot the boiler is producing.
Recommend regular oil burner tune-ups.

FOR GENERAL BOILER INSPECTION WE...

Inspect the venting system for leaks or damage, and make sure that the system has been installed according to manufacturer specifications.
Also check the pressure relief valve, expansion tank, backflow preventer, water feed valve/pressure reducing valve, and water pump for any problems.
