What Roles Is Moore Heating Hiring For?

We hire across the full Alaska HVAC trade. Active and rolling openings include:

  • Service Technician, diagnose and repair residential and light-commercial furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, water heaters, and generators. State of Alaska mechanical or gas-fitter license required.
  • Lead Installer, run full system replacement and new-construction installations. Read Manual J/D, supervise helpers, work alongside our project coordinator.
  • Installer / Helper, entry-level field role assisting on installations. No prior HVAC experience required; mechanical aptitude and a clean driving record are.
  • Apprentice, paid apprenticeship track toward Alaska licensure. We sponsor classroom hours and on-the-job training.
  • Generator Specialist, Generac factory-trained or willing to be trained. Standby generator installations, transfer-switch work, and service.
  • Office & Dispatch, customer-facing scheduling, dispatch, and service-coordinator roles in our Anchorage office.

We’re a family-owned shop, not a private-equity rollup. That means decisions get made locally, your manager has actually run service calls in Alaska, and the company isn’t flipped to a new owner every three years. We also keep our crews busy year-round, Alaska’s heating season is long enough that we don’t do seasonal layoffs. Field roles get a fully stocked company service truck, company-provided specialty tools (combustion analyzers, refrigerant recovery, leak detection), uniforms, and a fuel card. We pay for manufacturer training trips when they’re worth it, Lennox, Generac, and Mitsubishi all run programs we send our team to.

  • Comfort working in Alaska winters, outdoor unit work happens at −20°F some days.
